Water Relief

Water Appeal Campaign 2023

DSC03923-scaled-

The Clean Water Project

The Clean Water project is an initiative undertaken by MTJ Foundation, aims to alleviate the pressing issue of inadequate access to safe drinking water in marginalized regions of Pakistan. This welfare project endeavours to address the needs of underprivileged communities by installing over 150 hand pumps in households that lack clean water due to poverty. By implementing this project, the primary goal is to establish a sustainable solution to the prevailing water crisis, thereby enhancing the overall health and well-being of the local populations.

The Impact

Having access to clean water is essential as it can sustain entire communities. Not only is clean water a basic human right, but it also serves as a catalyst for community growth, better hygiene practices, and ensuring change in the lives of individuals. By having clean water sources, communities are able to flourish. The effort that goes into water collection can be redirected to things such as education, economic activities, and community initiatives. In addition to ending the cycle of disease and poverty, ensuring sustainable access to clean water also promotes the development of a better future for future generations. Projects aimed at preserving clean water resources are what Sadaqah Jariyah is all about. They provide continuous charity that not only meets urgent needs but also lays the groundwork for positive long-lasting change in many lives.

Sadaqah Jariyah

Sadaqah Jariyah offers ongoing benefits that extend far beyond the initial act of giving. One way to contribute to your own Sadaqah Jariyah is to address the issue of unclean water and its negative impact on underserved communities. Contaminated water sources are breeding grounds for waterborne illnesses like cholera, typhoid, and dysentery, causing severe health consequences, especially among vulnerable populations. These illnesses not only cause suffering but maintain the cycle of poverty.
